OnePlus has just launched its latest mini beast the OnePlus 13s in India on 5th June, 2025. It is very obvious that they are targetting people who want flagship performance with compact form factor and a pocket friendly price.

The OnePlus 13s is a perfect balance of beautiful design, power and features.

OnePlus 13s Specifications

Design: The smartphone features a sleek build with a glass back and aluminium frame which makes it look more premium in hand.

It comes with IP65 rating for dust and water resistance. But IP69 would be a better offering in this price segment.

It has three colour variants - Green Silk, Black Velvet and Pink Satin.

Surprisingly this time OnePlus has replaced the iconic Alert Slider with new Plus Key which is similar to the Action Button in iPhones. Plus Key can be programmed for various functions like launching the camera, toggling sound profiles, starting voice recorder or triggering AI features.

Display: One of the best features of this smartphone is the compact design. It sports a 6.32 inch 1.5k LTPO amoled display with a fast refresh rate which can go 1Hz to 120Hz. This offers a smooth user experience and power efficiency. Also the outdoor visibility is excellent as it has a peak brightness of 1600 nits. It also supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+. For protection of this beautiful display there is Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.

Battery: Despite of compact size, smartphone is packed with a massive 5850 mAh battery which can last more than a day even after heavy usage. To charge this huge battery you get a 80W SUPERVOOC charger in the box. There is no option for wireless charging which can be a reason for disappointment for many users.

Software: OnePlus 13s runs on OxygenOS 15 which is based on Android 15, offers a smoother and cleaner user experience. Company promised 3 years of major Android updates and 4 years of security updates.

OnePlus brings some new AI features like - AI Plus Mind for quickly capturing and organizing screen informations, AI Translation, Ai VoiceScribe and some camera features like Ai Detail Boost and AI Reflection Eraser.

OnePlus 13s Processor

The smartphone is powered by latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite flagship chipset based on 3nm process. This chipset is also used in their flagship smartphone OnePlus 13. No need to talk about its capabilities as the Antutu score comes around 2.5 million. It can easily handle any kind of heavy tasks like editing videos or playing high graphic games.

It comes with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and upto 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage, ensuring sufficient storage, super fast app launching and data transfer. OnePlus also included an advanced cooling system to keep the temperature under control during heavy usages.

OnePlus 13s Camera

I don't know why OnePlus has not provided the ultra-wide camera in this smartphone, while the elder sibling OnePlus 13 has a triple camera setup. 

OnePlus 13s has dual camera setup in the back - 

- 50MP Sony LYT-700 primary camera with OIS, which captures clear and sharp images. Colours are good but dynamic range could be better.

- 50MP S5KJN5 telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom and EIS for detailed portraits. But it often tries to brighten up the face which some people like and some don't.

There is also a 32MP front camera with autofocus for beautiful selfies and video calls.

Overall it has a good camera setup but can't compete with its elder sibling OnePlus 13, which definitely has a better camera setup with better image and video quality.

Definitely OnePlus 13s has potential to stand and compete with other brands in the market in same price segment. It targets the users who want a compact flagship smartphone in a affordable price without any compromise.
